She has shown her work in exhibitions in Laguna Beach, Calif., Kansas City, Kan., Minneapolis, Minn., and Memphis, Tenn. Williams has works in public and private collections and particularly enjoys creating pieces for specific venues.

Artist Statement
Instead of beginning with a typical stretched canvas, Williams uses silk, linen, cotton and bamboo as a base for various tools, dyes and paints to create multi-layered works. She is inspired by textures and colors that encourage the viewer to continue to explore the work in depth. The joy of discovering what will evolve each time in the studio keeps Williams applying new techniques to fuel her creativity.

Williams states,“Since I love to travel, I have spent many hours in numerous airports around the world and view the airport as a gateway to exotic travel, boring business trips and family celebrations. These works are inspired by all the travelers whose journeys intersect on the way to their final destinations.”
