Nancy Loves Nashville Exhibit Opening at BNA

WHAT: Nashville International Airport (BNA) will celebrate 80 years of Nancy with a new exhibit, Nancy Loves Nashville. Nancy’s renowned illustrator Guy Gilchrist will be part of a special reception for the exhibit.

Nashville, Tenn., resident Guy Gilchrist is the world-renowned cartoonist who took over the classic newspaper comic strip Nancy in 1995. Guy learned the traditional ways of inking the black line of the cartoons using the same kinds of ink, brushes and dip pens that have been used by illustrators since the printing press was invented. Some of the pen points that he uses are more than 100 years old. The Nancy Loves Nashville exhibit celebrates Nancy and the things she loves — especially fun, friends and music.
