Nashville International Airport Announces Three Additional Frontier Airlines Nonstops

Orlando, Chicago O’Hare and Philadelphia service to start in April

NASHVILLE ─ Following a string of major air service announcements in 2015, Nashville International Airport (BNA) kicks off 2016 with new nonstop service from Frontier Airlines to three major markets–Orlando International Airport (MCO), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

Frontier Airlines will begin nonstop service to Orlando and Chicago O’Hare starting April 14 and Philadelphia starting April 15, with tickets available for purchase to all three locations beginning today.

“Frontier’s decision to grow its Nashville operations speaks volumes about our region’s thriving business climate and expanding tourism and convention industry,” said Rob Wigington, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “The addition of new carriers to existing destinations increases flight options for our passengers and helps keep air fares affordable. That’s great news all around.”

“Travelers between big cities have enjoyed low fares while many markets have remained overpriced and underserved,” said Frontier Airlines President Barry Biffle. “Frontier’s low fares in Nashville will benefit thousands of new fliers who are forced to drive because they haven’t found affordable air travel options – or they simply stay at home. We see hundreds of additional opportunities like these throughout the country, fueling our growth for years to come.”
