Nashville International Airport Sets New Record for Number of Screened Passengers in a Single Day

25,886 screened passengers on Friday, Aug. 31

NASHVILLE ─ On Friday, Aug. 31, a record-setting 25,886 departing passengers were screened through TSA security lines at Nashville International Airport (BNA) ahead of Labor Day, a new single-day record for BNA and a considerable increase over the comparable Friday in 2017.

The previous record was set May 6, 2018, with 25,795 screened passengers.

By the numbers:

  • Friday, Aug. 31:
    • 25,886 screened passengers, a new single-day record and a 24.46 percent increase from the comparable pre-Labor Day Friday in 2017
    • 14,598 bags processed, a 19.9 percent increase from the comparable pre-Labor Day Friday in 2017
