Nashville International Airport® Hosts Charitable 2023 BNA® 5K on the Runway
WHAT: The Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) 5K on the Runway is an event that invites runners and walkers to complete a 5K race on an airport runway while benefiting local community organizations. This year’s proceeds benefit nonprofits, including the Gary Sinise Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, and Make-A-Wish – Middle Tennessee.
WHERE: Nashville International Airport Runway 2R/20L
- GPS Address: 1500 Couchville Pike, Nashville, TN 37214
- Use GPS address with Google Maps or Waze only. Do not use Apple Maps.
- When you arrive at the GPS address, follow the BNA 5K signage. Volunteers will be on-site to assist with parking
Parking:
- On-site parking is available; BNA has reserved spaces for media. Limited spaces are available; please notify the below contact of your attendance so spots can be reserved accordingly. Please see the parking permit attached – print this and put it on your windshield.
- Parking surface will not be paved – please plan accordingly.
WHEN: Saturday, May 20, 2023
Run of Show:
- 6:30 a.m.: Media arrival
- 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.: Pre-race media interviews with BNA president and CEO, Doug Kreulen
- 7:15 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Check presentations benefiting non-profits
- 7:30 a.m.: Runners begin lining up
- 8 a.m.: Race begins
We are anticipating rain for the 5K. The race will continue with the exception of lightening, severe weather – including hail/damaging winds/tornados/extreme heat. If lighting occurs, the race will be delayed, and participants will be asked to shelter in their vehicles. If the lightening continues over an hour, the race will be cancelled.
