One Lane Shutdown on June 25, 2024 for Roadway Expansion Project
Terminal Area Roadway Improvements
Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) is undergoing significant improvements under its New Horizon expansion plan, including Terminal Area Roadway Improvements (TARI).
As part of these efforts, there will be a one-day closure of the far-right lane leading up to the Departures Level on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024. This short closure will allow crews to remove existing curbs to make space for an additional lane.
Once completed, this project will increase the total number of lanes from three lanes to four, with two dedicated lanes each for Arrivals and Departures.

What to Expect - June 25, 2024 Lane Closure:
- The closure on will affect the far-right lane only.

What You Can Do:
- Plan to arrive early: We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time to allow for potential delays caused by the lane closure.
