NASHVILLE ─ Nashville International Airport (BNA) today welcomes yet another new airline to Music City and additional international service. WestJet will begin seasonal, nonstop service to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) starting June 15.

“Welcoming a new airline and additional international service is another big win for our airport and the entire Nashville and Middle Tennessee region,” said Rob Wigington, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority president and CEO. “Calgary-based WestJet is Canada’s second largest air carrier, known for its low-cost fares and its outstanding customer service. We look forward to introducing the airline to the Nashville community and having them join the roster of airlines serving BNA.”

“We are excited about our schedule and connectivity out of Toronto”, said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Commercial. “By this summer, we will operate more than 120 flights per day from Toronto including new services to Nashville, Los Angeles and Boston in addition to our previously announced daily service to London, England. Building on our already strong connectivity into Toronto from across Canada is a key element of our strategy for profitable growth.”

Air Canada currently serves Toronto from BNA with twice daily, year-round nonstop service.

BNA is currently served by 10 airlines and offers 390 daily flights. Nashville International Airport provides nonstop air service to more than 50 destinations.
