Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on the morning of September 11 to honor the lives lost and the heroes who emerged on that day.
At precisely 7:46 AM, a five-second moment of silence will be observed to mark the time the North Tower was struck. During this solemn tribute, TSA screening will briefly pause to allow for uninterrupted reflection.
The National Anthem will be performed, followed by the BNA Honor Guard presenting colors in the BNA Marketplace. As part of the ceremony, the Nashville Fire Department Piper will play “Amazing Grace,” adding a moving musical tribute.
The Honor Guard will then march into the Grand Lobby and present colors once again at 8:03 AM, commemorating the moment the South Tower was hit.
This ceremony invites all travelers, staff, and members of the public to join in a shared moment of remembrance and unity.
