Blasting for Improving and Expanding Terminal Roadways Oct. 29 – Nov. 21

Weekdays starting Oct. 29 through Nov. 21, there will be two blasts a day – one at 9 a.m. and one at 11 a.m. – to expand and improve terminal roadways as part of New Horizon, the growth and expansion plan at BNA®. To ensure the safety of drivers, there will be a traffic stop outbound to I-40, as well as on Terminal Drive, during each blast. While most traffic stops will last 2-5 minutes, the traffic stop leading outbound to I-40 could last up to 30 minutes while crews ensure all debris has been cleared. To avoid traffic impacts between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on weekdays, drivers are encouraged to use Exit 216A to come to the airport (including to return a rental car), and those leaving should use Donelson Pike for I-40 access.
