Central Core Structural Demolition Begins Week of July 13
Starting the week of July 13, there will be increased noise in the Central Core of the terminal as structural demolition begins.
Sometimes, the sound of growth gets a little noisy – but we’re going to do our best to mitigate the volume.
Starting the week of July 13, there will be increased noise in the Central Core of the terminal as structural demolition begins. The loudest work will be reserved to take place between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday nights to Friday mornings to limit impacts to passengers. Crews will start by demolishing the escalators and elevator towers, then proceed to demolish concrete, steel, and terrazzo. Demolition work will continue through December 2026.
Our crews have installed sound insulation to reduce the anticipated noise levels that come with the structural demolition.
The Central Core Enhancement is part of New Horizon, the $3 billion growth and expansion plan at BNA® that will support 40 million annual passengers in the future. To learn more about the Central Core Enhancement, visit flynashville.com/centralcore.
