Community Invited to Drop Off Unneeded Medications at BNA®

National Prescription Takeback Day is Saturday, October 23

NASHVILLE – Have prescription drugs you’ve been meaning to get rid of? BNA can help! Our FREE prescription drop box is available to the community. It’s a safe and responsible way to dispose of old or unused medications that are just taking up space.

WHERE: BNA’s Department of Public Safety, 921 Airport Service Road, Nashville, TN 37214. (Just off Donelson Pike, down the street from the terminal building.)

WHEN: Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

PARKING: *FREE* Visitor parking is available at the police station

NOTE: When you arrive, use the call box at the police station’s main entrance. Lift the phone and a BNA Department of Public Safety representative will let you in.

WHAT WILL BE ACCEPTED?

  • Prescription medications
  • All over-the-counter medications
  • Pet medications
  • Medicated ointment, lotions and drops
  • Liquid medications in leak-proof containers
  • Inhalers
  • Pills in any packaging, including glass, plastic containers, baggies (Ziploc) or foil

WHAT WILL *NOT* BE ACCEPTED?

  • Illegal drugs & narcotics
  • Needles/sharps or syringes with needles Blood sugar equipment
  • Thermometers
  • IV bags
  • Bloody or infectious waste
  • Personal care products (shampoo, lotions, etc.)
