Evening Roadway and Pedestrian Detours
Travelers and those picking up/dropping off passengers are advised to arrive early the evenings of May 4 & 5 between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Construction activity will have the following overnight impacts:
- Detour: The I-40E entrance to the airport (Exit 216-A) will be closed to incoming traffic.
- All traffic will use the airport’s Donelson Pike entrance. On I-40E, use Exit 216-B (Donelson Pike southbound). On I-40W, use Exit 216.
- Both nights, passenger drop-offs and pick-ups will be relocated to the following:
- ALL Drop-offs: Terminal Garage 1 (use the Valet entrance).
- ALL Pick-ups: Terminal Garage 2 (use the Ground Transportation entrance).
- Roadway directional signs will lead you to the correct locations for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups.
OTHER TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- Walk paths to/from the terminal: Construction closures will mean slight pedestrian detours. Ample directional signage will direct you to the entry/exit points on Level 1 (ground level).
- Picking up a passenger? The normal cell phone lots will be closed the nights of May 4 & 5. Instead: Economy Lot B will be FREE for waiting only. Please use this lot until your party is ready to be picked up.
