Nashville International Airport® Projecting High Passenger Volume Due to Bustling Weekend in Nashville

BNA provides travel tips for a smooth journey; Prepares for influx of travelers in Music City

WHAT:  As Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) projects increased passenger volume over the weekend with potentially record-breaking numbers on Sunday, travelers are urged to follow the below tips from BNA for a seamless travel journey:

  • Arrive Early – We’re a New BNA: We recommend passengers arrive two hours early. It allows extra time to navigate areas at the airport, especially ones that passengers might not be familiar with. Remember: with the opening of the Grand Lobby, all passengers will flow through one central checkpoint in the middle of the airport.

  • Check Your Flight Status: Prior to arriving at BNA, please check the status of your flight with your airline.

  • Understand Parking Options at BNA: With increased passenger volume, please check our parking availability before arriving at the airport – Park at BNA.

  • Take Advantage of the New Cell Lot:  If you’re picking up friends or loved ones from BNA, the average passenger journey consists of many different variables that can affect the time it takes them to get to your pickup meeting place. Once landing at BNA, estimate 15 minutes without checked bags and 30 minutes with checked bags or for international flights. If you arrive early to pick someone up, please navigate to BNA’s new Cell Lot, located at 1415 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37217. The new Cell Lot recently opened to meet passenger demands, provide ample space for travelers and alleviate the traffic congestion around the roadways, including traffic from I-40.
