Terminal Garage 1 Entrance to Close Oct. 20 as Work Advances on New Rental Car Facility and Parking Garage
Beginning Oct. 20, the entrance to Terminal Garage 1 (TG1) will close. All traffic entering and exiting the Terminal Garages will now route through Terminal Garage 2 (TG2). TG1 will remain fully accessible from TG2 via garage access points on Levels 2–6, allowing drivers to continue moving easily between both garages during this temporary configuration.
Valet entry and exit will continue to route through the existing rental car facility area during this phase.
These adjustments are part of broader roadway improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, convenience, and the overall customer experience.

What This Means for Travelers
- All garage access will be routed through TG2
- No entry or exit will be available at TG1
- Parking procedures remain the same, just with a unified point of access
- Parkers will still access TG1 via the connector bridges from TG2 from parking levels (Levels 2–6)
How to Enter and Exit Terminal Garage 1 Starting October 20
Drivers heading to TG1 will:
- Pass the original TG1 entrance
- Continue straight to the TG2 entrance
- Take a parking ticket as usual
- Park in TG2, or use TG2 garage access points on Levels 2–6 to access TG1
How Travelers Exit TG1
- Follow wayfinding signs through the updated traffic pattern, directing you to TG2
- Continue following exit signage and take the helix down to Level P2
- Pay for parking as normal — TG1 parking tickets will be accepted at TG2 exit lanes
Updated wayfinding signage will be in place throughout the garages to support these changes.
We encourage travelers to allow extra time while adjusting to the new routing and to rely on posted signage for guidance.
Parking Availability
Parking capacity is not changing. TG1 will continue to offer 4,366 covered spaces, and TG2 will continue to offer 2,160 covered spaces.
All parking levels will remain accessible, and travelers can still move between TG1 and TG2 using the garage access points on Levels 2–6.

Facility highlights include:
- Six stories and 3.5 million square feet
- A new parking garage with 3,000 spaces
These improvements support long-term operational efficiency and the continued growth of BNA.
