Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Expands its Leadership Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 31, 2024) – The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA), which owns and operates Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) and John C. Tune Airport® (JWN®), is pleased to announce the appointments of Lisa Leyva as Vice President of Concessions and Steven Woods as Vice President of Information Technology.

"We're thrilled to welcome Lisa Leyva and Steven Woods to MNAA,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “Their vast experience and strong leadership will be tremendous assets as we continue to enhance our services and meet the evolving needs of our passengers. We look forward to the innovative contributions they will bring to our airports.”

The following individuals have been appointed to key leadership roles:

 

Lisa Levya – Vice President, Concessions
Lisa Levya joins MNAA as the Vice President of Concessions, bringing with her a wealth of experience and expertise in business development and marketing. With 17 years of industry experience, Levya has held several key positions that have shaped her impressive career.

Previously, Levya served as the Senior Director of Commercial Management at Raliegh Durham (RDU) International Airport, where she played a pivotal role in driving commercial strategies and enhancing the airport's business operations. Before her tenure at RDU, she was the Aviation Development Manager for the City of Albuquerque, overseeing Air Service, Business Development, Contracts, Marketing, and Public Relations. Levya also held prominent roles in the private sector, serving as the Marketing Director for Associated Builders and the Marketing Manager for Golden Equipment Company.

Levya’s outstanding contributions to the industry have been widely recognized. She was honored as an Albuquerque Business First Women of Influence Honoree in 2018 and an Albuquerque 40 Under Forty Honoree in 2017. In addition, she received the Associated Builders and Contractors National Award of Merit in both 2016 and 2017.

 

Steven Woods – Vice President, Information Technology (IT)
Steven Woods has been appointed vice president of information technology for MNAA. He brings more than 20 years of experience in leading technology strategy, digital transformation, and operational improvements across various sectors, including financial services, insurance, and education.

Woods has held leadership roles such as chief information officer and director of information security risk and operations, where he implemented innovative technology solutions, modernized critical systems, aligned IT initiatives with organizational goals, and strengthened cybersecurity defenses.

At MNAA, Woods will focus on advancing IT strategy, modernizing infrastructure, and supporting the authority’s mission while upholding its core values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and certifications including CISSP, CISM, and CCSP. Woods is actively involved in industry organizations such as the Cloud Security Alliance, Information Systems Security Association, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
