Discover the BNA® PASSport guest pass program — a new offering for non-ticketed guests. Beginning July 1, 2024, guests will be able to explore a variety of activities such as shopping, dining, plane-watching, art exhibits, and the opportunity to meet friends and family at the gate or accompany them before their flight. With a daily limit of 75 visitor passes, securing yours in advance is recommended to ensure availability (passes are non-transferable)

How does BNA PASSport work?

  • Program begins July 1, 2024
  • Applicants should ensure their applications are submitted no less than 24-hours and up to seven days before the intended visit.
    • Click here to submit an application.
  • Visitor passes for entry are valid between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily.
  • The program accommodates up to 75 individuals per day, with BNA reserving the right to further restrict the number of individuals per day.
  • Parking fees are the responsibility of the participant.
  • The program may be discontinued or individuals access may be revoked at any time.

Registration and Check-In Process:

  • All participants, including visitors aged 18 and under (who must be accompanied by an adult), must complete the registration process using their passport or state-issued ID.
  • During registration, it's imperative to enter accurate details—name, birthdate, and gender—matching the identification to be presented during check-in.
    • Any discrepancy between the registration information and presented identification will lead to TSA denial.
  • Successful applicants will receive an email notification just after Midnight the day of their requested visit.
    • Next Steps:
      • Proceed to the Information Desk on Level 1, where your documents will be verified. Here, you will receive a card confirming the review of your documents -- Do not lose this card.
      • Proceed to the TSA Security Checkpoint on Level 3 and present your approval confirmation (mobile or printed email), ID, and the card received at the Information Desk between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on the day of your scheduled visit.
  • Visitors are subject to the same security regulations as passengers boarding an aircraft and must comply with TSA’s screening procedures, do not bring items prohibited by TSA and review the 3-1-1 Liquids Rules.
    • Please note the Information Center is unable to store any belongings for guests.

Frequently Asked Questions

This program allows members of the general public who are not flying that day to visit Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) and enjoy the amenities on the post-security side of the airport.

BNA® PASSport is intended for personal use and to enable approved visitors to spend time with friends and family or shop and dine at the airport.

Any commercial or business use or any other uses not specifically listed here are expressly forbidden and could result in revocation of your approval to participate.

This program allows access to the post-security side of the airport to visitors who are not flying between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The last entry is at 8:00 p.m.

Be sure to allow enough time to get through the security lines. At peak travel times, we recommend two or more hours before you want to be post-security.

Under BNA® PASSport, you can enter and exit the airport at any time during your registered day and program operating hours, however, if you depart the post-security area you will have to re-enter through security checkpoints, so please plan accordingly.

Priority will be granted to ticketed passengers, enabling them to board their flights promptly.

Individuals with the BNA® PASSport may be required to wait before entering the checkpoint. The issuance of passes may be temporarily halted during peak travel periods or under special situations. Passes are NOT guaranteed.

To receive a BNA® PASSport from the Airport to access post security, all Authorized Individuals, and any minors, meaning an individual 18 years of age or younger, will be required to provide certain personal information that triggers the need for an important Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Privacy Act Statement. All individuals should carefully read the TSA Privacy Act Statement below and consider the implications of providing their personal information. Additionally, information submitted to the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) be subject to public records requests.


TSA PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT
AUTHORITY: 49 U.S.C. § 114(f). PRINCIPAL PURPOSE(S): This information is collected by airport operators or their representatives in order to conduct checks of TSA’s Secure Flight watch lists on individuals who wish to access the Sterile Area at Nashville International Airport® (BNA®), which is located beyond the screening checkpoint. TSA may receive this information from airport operators or their representatives in order to resolve suspected or actual matches to this database. ROUTINE USE(S): TSA may share this information with aircraft and airport operators, foreign air carriers, or appropriate Federal, State, or other agency regarding individuals who pose or are suspected of posing a risk to transportation or national security, or for other routine uses identified in TSA systems of records, DHS/TSA 019 Secure Flight Records. DISCLOSURE: Voluntary failure to furnish the requested information will result in your inability to access facilities located in the airport beyond the screening checkpoint. Individuals are also reminded that should they have any questions or comments regarding this process or the effect of the check referenced in the Privacy Act Statement, they may contact TSA’s Contact Center at (866) 289-9673 or at TSA-ContactCenter@dhs.gov. Participants may also contact a TSA representative at the screening checkpoint. The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority maintains this information in accordance with State and Federal Privacy Laws.

BNA® PASSport has no expected end date, however, the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has the right to cancel, suspend or modify the program at any time without prior notice.

If you are unable select a specific date up to seven days before your visit, it means that the quota of visitors for that day has already been met.

We encourage you to consider visiting on an alternate day. To do so, simply submit a new application within seven days of your intended visit.

All forms of identification recognized by the TSA are valid for use with BNA® PASSport. This includes licenses issued by other states, as well as U.S. and international passports.

Please note: temporary paper driver's licenses are not accepted.

BNA® PASSport users are subject to the same security regulations as ticketed passengers and access is granted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

All prohibited items as well as liquids and aerosol cans apply to BNA PASSport pass holders. Bringing any of these prohibited items could mean that they are confiscated or you are denied access to the airport.

No, BNA® PASSport cannot be used with either of these special access programs.

No, visitors participating in the BNA® PASSport program can only meet passengers post-security who are arriving on domestic flights or are reconnecting on another flight.

The sole designated meeting point for passengers arriving from international flights is within the pre-security area of Level 1, specifically at the exit from the International Arrivals Facility after they have completed the Customs process. There is no need to apply for a BNA® PASSport for this purpose.

No, arrangements for picking up an unaccompanied minor from a flight should be coordinated directly with the airline.

Minors will still apply for and receive a pass, but anyone 18 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when using the program.

Every non-traveling visitor must complete the online application and be approved for entrance.

Minors without valid photo IDs must also apply and be accompanied by an adult who has also been approved for BNA® PASSport entry.

We strive to make your experience as easy, safe, and comfortable as possible at Nashville International Airport® (BNA®). We have various amenities for travelers of all backgrounds, including a Sensory Room, adult changing tables, Service Animal Relief Areas, and more.

At this time, wheelchairs and wheelchair attendants to push wheelchairs are not available with the BNA® PASSport program as they are an amenity of the airlines. However, participants are welcome to enter the checkpoints with their own wheelchairs or mobility aids when using the pass.

BNA® PASSport participants have the flexibility to park in any of our parking garages or lots. Guests are responsible for covering the associated parking costs.

Gates C4 to C11 are located within our new Satellite Concourse. Travelers and BNA PASSport holders can reach these gates by boarding our electric shuttle bus at the shuttle station adjacent to Gate C13 within the main terminal.

This shuttle will provide a brief, 3-minute journey to the Satellite Concourse for your convenience. Shuttles run to and from the Satellite Concourse every 3 minutes.
